Japan rewards the curious, but only if you know where to look and what you're looking at. This guide covers the activities, experiences, and stops across our route, from the volcanic lakes of Urabandai to the ninja towns of Iga and the pilgrimage coast of the Kii Peninsula. Some of these are included on your itinerary. Many more are options we can build into the days depending on your energy, your interests, and how the mood takes us.
