CHINA TOURS
China is a country of extraordinary culinary diversity and hidden gems waiting far beyond the well-trodden tourist circuits. While millions flock to Beijing's forbidden city and Shanghai's skyline, we're drawn to the smoky tea houses of Fujian's mountains, the fermented bean paste workshops of Sichuan's countryside, and the night markets of cities you haven’t thought to explore but you will never forget.
From the fiery complexity of authentic Hunanese cuisine to watching master brewers craft thousand-year-old rice wines using techniques passed down through generations, China rewards the curious traveller with experiences that simply can't be found in guidebooks. Our tours will take you to places where locals are genuinely surprised to see foreign faces, and where the food tells stories of tradition, innovation, and regional pride that will completely reshape how you think about Chinese cuisine and the country itself.

13 nights, 14 days
China's wine past, present, and future across 14 days and three regions that share almost nothing except the vine. CHINA’S HEARTLAND
HENAN PROVINCE
May 2027, dates TBC
12 nights / 13 days
Henan is the geographic and civilisational heartland of China — the province where Buddhism arrived, kung fu was born, imperial ceramic traditions took root, and a food culture developed that spanned dynasties. Over 13 days we move through the buried cities of Kaifeng, the Jun ware kilns of Shenhou, Shaolin Temple and the Song Mountains, and Luoyang, where 110,000 Buddhist statues line a river gorge and a 24-course imperial soup banquet is still served in century-old restaurants.
CHINA’S WILD SOUTHWEST
GUIZHOU PROVINCE
Oct 24 - Nov 5, 2027
12 nights / 13 days
Guizhou is one of China's most wild provinces, home to eighteen ethnic minority groups whose festivals and traditions have stayed largely intact, and whose sour, spicy, smoky cuisine is unlike anywhere else in China. Over 13 days we move through Ming-dynasty garrison villages, Asia's largest waterfall, the karst peaks of Wanfenglin, and the sacred mountain of Fanjingshan, arriving in the Miao heartland in time for Miao New Year.
CHINA’S WINE TRAIL
HEBEI, NINGXIA & YUNNAN
Sept 2027, dates TBC
13 nights / 14 days
China's wine story continues in 2027, following a similar route from the Great Wall's vineyards to Ningxia's desert plateau to Yunnan's high-altitude frontier. Over 14 days we trace how three of China's most unlikely landscapes became wine country, each with its own food, culture, and history, from northern Hebei classics to Ningxia's Hui lamb dishes to the herb-forward cooking of Yunnan's minority communities. Three regions with almost nothing in common except the vine, telling the story of an industry still largely unknown outside the country.
